Seymour Abrahamson; Former Sen. Grobschmidt die over week

 

Justice Shirley Abrahamson’s husband, Seymour, died over the weekend at age 88. Abrahamson was a UW-Madison professor, and internationally known geneticist. The family will be holding a private ceremony.

Grobschmidt served 5 terms in the Assembly (1985-1995), then two full terms and one partial term (1995-2003).  He resigned from the Senate to take a position in DPI as Assistant Superintendent of Public instruction.  He retired from DPI in 2010.

Services will be at Divine Mercy Parish in South Milwaukee this Friday, July 29 at 11:00 am.  Further details are here.
